Wind power for IKEA

The furniture major invests in the building of a wind power park in northern Finland.

The park includes 13 wind generator and is built in cooperation with the company OX2, Affarerinorr.se reports with reference to newspaper Norrbottens Kuriren. It will be the company’s first investments in wind power.

The generation capacity of the park totals 160 GWh per year, which equals the company’s annual power consumption in Finland.

The new park will be built near the port of Ajos in the municipality of Kemi.
