El-consumptions peaks in cold Russia
Severe cold made Russian consumption of electricity reach a historical maximum last week.
On February 1 el-consumption in Russia reached 156,96 Gigawatt, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
Last week’s cold weather covered almost the whole of Russia and record el-consumption peaked to record levels in the North-Western district, in Moscow and in Astrakhan.
The last record was set in 1991 with 156,32 Gigawatt.
