Cross-border 3G deal
Finland and Russia agree to coordinate roaming prices and use of the mobile communications 900 Mhz band in the border areas.
The agreement allows for the construction of 3G networks in border areas, YLE reports.
The agreements were made in the Finnish-Russian Working Group on Communications and Information Technology this week. The parts are also negotiating a price agreement on roaming services, the Finnish broadcaster reports. The maximum price paid in EU countries will be used as a reference point.
