More passengers from Arkhangelsk airport
2010 was a successful year for Arkhangelsk airport. The profit tripled and passenger turnover increased by 200 000 people from 2009 and reached 650 000 people.
If the dynamics continue, then in three years the Arkhangelsk airport will handle nearly a million passengers per year.
The positive tendencies are the result of the airport management’s active policy to attract new carriers, Business Class Arkhangelsk writes.
Arkhangelsk Airport is included in the federal target program for development of the transportation system in Russia. In the nearest future it is planned to reconstruct the apron, aircraft parking places and the runaway. The terminal building is also expected to be refurbished. These measures will help to increase the capacity of the airport terminal. Today’s terminal has a capacity of only 300 passengers per hour.
