Karelia doing better

Governor Nelidov told Prime Minister Putin about the positive economical trends in the development of the Republic of Karelia.

From time to time, Russian Governors are called in for a talk with Vladimir Putin at his office in Moscow. Thursday this week, it was Karelian governor Andrei Nelidov turn.

Putin started the conversation with pointing at the significant investment increase in fixed assets in Karelia over the last year. Also, Putin commended Nelidov for the surplus in the Republic’s budget, reads the transcript from the meeting posted at the Prime Minister’s portal.

Andrei Nelidov was appointed governor in July last year after Sergey Katanandov resigned from the position.
