Money to Murmansk children instead of Christmas cards
County Council Major of Finnmark will not spend money on Christmas greetings.
Runar Sjåstad has recently decided to follow up the tradition of supporting charitable purposes this Christmas season, according to the portal of Finnmark County.
- I have great respect for the work that volunteers do for the poor and disadvantaged children in the Murmansk region. So this year, SOS Children’s Villages in the Murmansk region will get NOK 15,000 (€1,875) and additional NOK 10,000 (€ 1,250) goes to Finnmark Red Cross for their work in the Murmansk region, says County Council Major Runar Sjåstad.
