A bill handed over to the State Duma this week will grant foreigners living in Russia extended rights to multiple entry and exit the country. «Foreign citizens and individuals without citizenship, who have temporary residency in Russia, will be able to enter and exit the country on the basis of their personal IDs, as well as the visas issued for their period of stay», a note from the government, referred to by Interfax, reads.

The law is aimed at foreigners on work assignments, as well as migrants and refugees living in the country.

Medvedev at the same time also proposes a set of amended regulations on foreigners’ law violations. In case a foreign citizen or a person without citizenship breaks the country’s entry regulations, or any other law regulating residency in the country, he or she can be expelled from the country without court trial, Interfax reports.

In cases when an individual has violated the law twice in the course of one year, the person will automatically be expelled from the country, the bill says.
