Navalny’s office in Murmansk now open

The Russian presidential-hopeful reaches out to an Arctic audience.

«The Murmansk-team of Aleksey Navalny has started its work», said Violetta Grudina as she on 31 July opened the new office in downtown Murmansk.

Grudina, an experienced civil society activist, heads the regional office.

«We can offer friendly atmosphere, and soon also interesting events and agitation training», she underlined in the opening ceremony, the campaign website informs.

The office is the 68th of its kind opening in Russia. From before, Navalny has two offices in the Russian north; in Syktyvkar and Vorkuta, the Komi Republic.

Plans are underway to open an office also in the Republic of Karelia.

The Russian presidential elections are due in March 2018.
