Dry Heilo prospect in Barents Sea
High expectations to find oil turned to huge disappointment.
The rig Aker Barents has completed the drilling at the Helio well in the western part of the Barents Sea without finding any indications of oil or gas, reports Petroarctic, the Network of suppliers for petroleum projects in the north.
Petroarctic expresses huge disappointment since the prospect was believed to contain 2-300 million barrels of oil.
The partners for the Helio licence are Rocksource, North Energy, GDF Suez and Front Exploration.
