Russian journalists to Norwegian election
Barents Press organizes study tour to this weekend’s local- and regional election in Norway.
Nine journalists from Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and Karelia are in Tromsø this week to learn more about the Norwegian regional election system. The election itself is on Monday September 12th.
During the week in Tromsø, the journalists will learn more about the history and present political system in Norway.
- Our Russian journalists will meet with representatives of different political parties. Journalists from northern Norway will inform about how they are covering the election campaigns and the election itself, says Elena Larionova, head of Barents Press in Russia.
Norwegians have both county council election and election to municipality council at the same day.
The seminar study tour is financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
