Northern Dimension gathers all networks
Parliament members from all over northern Europe will meet in Tromsø to improve ecology, public health, transport infrastructure and culture.
Confused of all national, international and regional councils working on cross-border issues in the north? Then Tromsø in northern Norway is the place to be next week. They will all be there.
The Second Northern Dimension Parliamentary Forum gathers representatives from all parliaments in northern Europe, including inter-parliamentarian networks.
Also, the Baltic-, Arctic-, Barents- and Nordic councils will be there with large delegations.
Many of these networks and councils are overlapping each other in politics funding mechanisms. The Tromsø conference on February 22-23 brings an excellent opportunity for better coordination.
Topics on the agenda are the Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership, Public Health and Social Well-being, Partnership on Transport and Logistics and Partnership in Culture.
The Northern Dimension is an initiative in the European Union regarding the cross-border and external policies covering Nordic countries, Baltic states and Russia.
