Fitch drops Murmansk
Global rating agency Fitch Ratings will no longer conduct ratings of Murmansk Oblast because of a reported lack of information.
According to the agency, there is not sufficient information available about the region’s credit standing for future ratings. No more ratings and analysis for Murmansk Oblast will be conducted, a press release from the company reads.
The last rating of the region places it long-term position for international and domestic currency at BB- with a “stable” prognosis, while the short-term position is valued to B in international currency and A+ in domestic currency and with a “stable” prognosis.
The rating of the region is similar to the rating of the neighboring Republic of Karelia and show a high level of investment potential, the regional Ministry of Economic Development says, MBnews.ru reports.
