Bomb in Moscow affects Murmansk air traffic

Yesterday’s bomb explosion at Russia’s busiest airport Domodeovo outside Moscow has led to enhanced control at all of the country’s airports.

At Murmansk airport, passenger and luggage control will take more time than usual, GTRK Murman reports. Transport authorities ask passengers to arrive at the airport in good time.

There is no information about any casualties from Murmansk. 35 people were killed and 110 injured in the explosion, which is regarded to be a terrorist attack.

Most of the flights between Murmansk and Moscow use the two other airports outside the capital – Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo. The first flight between Murmansk and Domodeovo left today, when the company RusLine started up the flight Moscow/Domodedovo-Khibiny/Apatity.
