BarentsObserver welcomes Det norske

Det norske is the second-largest operating company on the Norwegian Shelf with regard to number of operatorships and exploration activity. Starting from 2011, BarentsObserver welcomes the company as a new partner.

The company has interests in a total of 81 licenses on the Norwegian shelf, with 36 operatorships. Det norske has an offencive drilling program which is secured by long term rig contracts with Aker Barents and Songa Delta. Aker Barents is the most modern rig and isespecially suitable for drilling in deep waters and the Barents Sea.

The main office is in Trondheim, and local offices at three other locations in Norway, in Oslo, Harstad and Stavanger.

Det norske has a comprehensive program to support research, education and economic development in northern Norway. The program has an overall frame of around NOK 15 million (€2 million). Det norske collaborates with “Verftsringen Nord Norge” in sevaral ways, to support the shipbuilding industry in the north of Norway.

BarentsObserver is happy to welcome Det norske as our newest partner. With the partnership, Det norske will be displayed with its company logo at BarentsObserver’s English and Russian pages.

From before, BarentsObserver has partnership with seven other companies; Tschudi Shipping, Statoil, Rambøll, Total, Innovasjon Norge, Unex and Kimek offshore.
