Women in Norway and Russia uniting
The first Norwegian-Russian conference for women – Women Competence Cooperation Exchange 1.0 – took place in Murmansk in December.
Some 20 women from Barents Russia and Norway gathered in Murmansk at the end of last year to discuss common interests and objectives and generate new ideas for regional cooperation within business and culture.
The aim of the Women Competence Cooperation Exchange (WCCE) project is to establish a network within the Barents region consisting of women from different professions and industries, the public sector and academic spheres.
The project is initiated by Hanne Sofie Roaldsen, director of the Tromsø-based firm HSR Management.
The next conference – WCCE 2.0 – will be held in Tromsø, Norway in the beginning of January and approach the issue “Doing business in Russia with Russians”.
