Sixth military satellite this year

The satellite was launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome in Arkhangelsk Oblast.

The Meridian probe was put into orbit by a Soyuz-2 rocket that lifted from Plesetsk early Tuesday morning, reports Itar-Tass.

This is the sixth military satellite launched from Plesetsk so far this year. A month ago, a military satellite was put into orbit.

On September 9th, two military satellites were launched.

Also in May, such satellite was launched, and in April BarentsObserver reported that a military spy satellite was launched.
