Nordic soldiers to wear common uniforms

Cost-efficient and practical as the Nordic countries interact more and more.

“The goal is to equip the soldiers with a uniform that provides good protection in different operating environments,” Sweden’s Armed Forces informs.

At a price tag somewhere between €290 - 425 million, the tender is now out. The Nordic Combat Uniform system is a cooperation among Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway with the goal of procuring a combat uniform system with accessories.

The four Nordic countries are cooperating military under the auspices of NORDEFCO. Common uniforms will include both winter and summer uniforms, and applies for operations both nationally and internationally.
