Russia to set up 2WW memorial unit in Finland
The Russian Ministry of Defence intends to establish a representation unit in Finland, which is to engage in 2WW studies.
The office will study local archive materials, and seek to reveal the fate of fallen Red Army soldiers. The office personnel will be based in the premises of the Russian embassy, but will not be included in the diplomatic corps, Rossiiskaya Gazeta reports.
The office is likely to be set up in the near perspective, Aleksandr Kirilin, a Defence Ministry representative, told journalists. Similar offices are to be established also in several other countries, among them in Austria, Slovakia, Turkey, Burgaria and the USA.
