Travelers from EU and Schengen member states will no longer have to provide a certificate of a full vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 within the last six months and a negative PCR or antigen test no older than 48 hours when entering Finland, the government decided on Monday.

The strict rules have this winter limited cross-border travel on Finland’s land borders to Sweden and Norway in the north, as well as at airports and international ferry ports.

People entering Finland from Russia and other non-EU or Schengen members states, however, still need to provide documentation as listed by the country’s Border Guards Service

In mid-February, the Government will make a new assessment of the entry rules.
